Jodie Foster |  Alicia Christian Foster

Jodie Foster was born Alicia Christian Foster. With a part as the Coppertone Girl in a television commercial for the legendary brand of suntan lotion, the future Academy Award winner began her acting career at the early age of three years old.

Despite never having taken an acting class, she jumped into show business back in 1968 with her first television show, Mayberry R.F.D. Foster later would have a busy career as a child actress, with Brandy Foster by her side, serving as both manager and mother. Foster transitioned from child star to mature actress, appearing in a series of primarily unremarkable films through the mid-‘80s. Her next well-received appearance in another dramatic and brutal film earned her an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Actress. It cemented her degree and reputation as one of Hollywood’s most respected serious actors.
