Ellie Goulding | Elena Jane Goulding

By the looks of it, Ellie Goulding already had the makings of a musician during her childhood years. Her first instrument is the clarinet, which she learned when she was nine years old. Five years later, at fourteen years old, she started learning the guitar, and composing songs came a year later.

Born Elena Jane Goulding, the singer now goes by the stage name Ellie Goulding – Ellie perhaps being a nickname. With that said, she started her career in the music industry back in 2009 and debuted her extended play, An Introduction to Ellie Goulding. Her debut album Lights came the following year. Since then, she has garnered an impressive degree of recognition for creating songs such as Burn, Anything Could Happen, and her rendition of Elton John’s Your Song. Some of her tracks have also been used in movies and shows such as Spring Breakers, Hot Tub Time Machine 2, and Divergent.
